PECO and Exelon Leadership,
I am writing to express my concern about the safety, noise, odors, pollution, property values and location of the proposed PECO experimental Natural Gas Plant on a busy intersection of Sproul and Cedar Grove Roads in Marple Township, PA.
This “first such animal of its kind” plant, as Tim Flanagan of PECO named it during the public Zoning Board request, does not belong in a densely populated residential and business area of Marple Township.
I am requesting you, the leaders of PECO and Exelon, respect Marple Township's Zoning Hearing Board’s assessment that your proposed plant does not meet the zoning requirements and drop your cases against Marple Township in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas and the Pennsylvania Utility Commission. These costly legal battles present unnecessary expenses to taxpayers and your customers.
